Vinings Jubilee: Christmas Tree Lighting on December 3, 2015
On Thursday, December 3, 2015, Vinings Jubilee will host its annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the Tower Stage. The festivities kick off at 6:00 p.m. with holiday music, sweet treats, face painting & balloon twisting, Vinings Express train rides, a visit from Santa, & more. Vinings Jubilee is located at 4300 Paces Ferry Road SE, Atlanta
On Saturday, December 5, 2015, stop by the Alpharetta Downtown Historic District for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting .
The festivities start at 5:00 p.m. You can play on the snow playground, shop the Alpharetta Christmas Farmers Market, listen to holiday music performances & a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, let the kids get creative with free crafts, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, & more.
At 7:00 p.m., it’s time for the illumination of Alpharetta’s 45’ live spruce tree.
The Alpharetta Christmas Tree Lighting will take place across from Alpharetta City Hall at 2 South Main Street, Alpharetta. There’s free parking at Milton Center, located at 86 School Drive, or you can park free at the Alpharetta City Hall Parking Deck.
Marietta Christmas Tree Lighting on December 3, 2015
On Thursday, December 3, 2015, head to Marietta Square for the Christmas Tree Lighting event.
The festivities begin at 5:00 p.m. with performances by local school choruses. Santa arrives at 5:20 p.m., & he’ll light the tree at 6:00 p.m. Santa will visit with kids of all ages in the gazebo until 8:00 p.m. While you’re in the square, it’s a good time to shop local & get unique gifts for everyone on your list. I’ll be heading out to get a few cute gifts I spotted at Lizards & Lollipopz, Eddie’s Trick Shop, & Doodlebugz.
The Marietta Christmas Tree Lighting will take place in Glover Park. Parking is free on the streets in the Square, in the lot at the corner of Mill St & N. Marietta Parkway
Decatur Christmas Tree Lighting on December 3, 2015
On Thursday, December 3, 2015, head to Decatur for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting .
There’ll be hot chocolate, carols, a visit from Santa, and other goodies. The festivities start at 7:00 p.m., though you may want to head out early, as caroling often begins earlier in the evening.
