Immerse yourself in a little bit of Georgia history with a FREE tour of the Governor’s Mansion! The public tours are open for visitors three days a week for most of the year. They are described as “a hybrid of a guided and self-guided tour,” because you can set your own pace as you move from room to room, but there is a docent stationed in each room to answer questions and describe what you’re looking at.

The tours are open through November on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m. It’s recommended that you allow a minimum of a half-hour to see everything before the Mansion closes at 11:30.

The Mansion’s web page features a virtual tour with photos and descriptions of each room, architectural features, and noteworthy furnishings and art.

For security reasons, you may not take a backpack or oversized bag with you.

If you’re planning an outing for a group of ten people or more, please reserve in advance by calling 404-261-1776.

The Mansion’s address is 391 West Paces Ferry Rd, in Atlanta.
